Only 33 days remain before the New York state Senate will vote on a bill (Marriage Equality Bill S:4401) to legalize marriage for LGBT couples. I urge you all to follow the link below and email or call our Senators to voice your opinion on the matter. HRC.org (Human Rights Campaign) has set up a very user friendly site to help you get in contact and even supplied a copy and paste message you can use for the email.
Yesterday in Manhattan there were so many people there to support the bill, and quite a few celebrities showed up to speak, but that’s really not enough. It’s up to the residents of New York to let their representatives know how they feel. I hope all of you that read this little stupid blog can take just five minutes from your surfing to send a simple email of support for gay couples all over New York. And maybe even reblog this to spread the word?
